个人简介 (Brief Introduction)

苗菲博士现任浙江大学控制科学与工程学院求是特聘教授,国家高层次人才。此前,她曾任康涅狄格大学计算学院助理教授(2017-2023)、Pratt & Whitney冠名副教授(2023-2026)。2010年获得上海交通大学自动化专业本科学位,2016年获得宾夕法尼亚大学电子与系统工程博士学位及统计学(沃顿商学院)双硕士学位,并荣获电子与系统工程系最佳博士论文奖,之后在宾夕法尼亚大学GRASP实验室和PRECISE实验室从事为期一年的博士后研究。她的研究方向聚焦于安全和鲁棒的强化学习、多智能体强化学习、不确定性量化和鲁棒优化,旨在应对具身智能与物理信息系统在安全性、高效性、鲁棒性和安全防护等方面的挑战。苗博士曾获得美国国家自然科学基金会早期职业奖(NSF CAREER Award),并获NSF Alan T. Walterman奖(NSF 40岁以下科学家最高奖项)提名。在美国任职期间以项目主持人和共同主持人身份累计获得了多个国家自然科学基金、能源部、交通部的科研经费。其研究成果发表在人工智能、机器人领域及物理信息系统的国际顶级期刊和会议。她曾荣获ACM/IEEE ICCPS(2021)、AAAI DCAA(2023)和IJCAI AI4TS(2024)等国际会议和研讨会的最佳论文奖。她目前担任IEEE RAL和IEEE OJ-CSYS期刊副主编,并担任多个机器人与控制领域会议的编委。

Fei Miao is Pratt & Whitney Associate Professor of the School of Computing, a Courtesy Faculty of the Department of ECE, University of Connecticut, where she joined in 2017. She is affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Systems Engineering. She was a postdoc researcher at the GRASP Lab and the PRECISE Lab of Upenn from 2016 to 2017. She received Ph.D. degree and the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award in Electrical and Systems Engineering, with a dual M.S. degree in Statistics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. Her research focuses on multi-agent reinforcement learning, robust optimization, uncertainty quantification, and game theory, to address safety, efficiency, robustness, and security challenges of Embodied AI and CPS. Dr. Miao is a receipt of the NSF CAREER award and a couple of other awards from NSF, a Nominee of NSF the Alan T. Walterman Award. She received the Best Paper Award and Best Paper Award Finalist at the 12th and 6th ACM/IEEE ICCPS in 2021 and 2015, Best paper Award at the 2023 AAAI DCAA, 2024 IJCAI AI4TS workshops, respectively. Dr. Miao serves as associate editors for several journals like IEEE RAL, OJ-CSYS, and multiple conferences.
